OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, AND DECEMBER 2018 - 70 FANS FOR RC SCHOOL!

In October, November, and December 2018, we collected donations and matched all contributions to purchase and install fans in classrooms at the San Pedro RC School (Kelly’s alma mater), which is the main primary school on the island. We recently completed that project. Here's the update:

Guests at The Phoenix, Wine de Vine, and Red Ginger donated $5,177.35. We matched 100% of that, for a total contribution of $10,354.79.

With those funds, we purchased 70 fans (ceiling fans, wall fans, standing fans), wires, and switches for a total of $9,223.03. To date, 55 fans have been installed. The remaining 15 fans will be installed as needed over the coming months. A huge thank you to Alfaro's Construction - they did all of the installation and electrical work at no charge. We salute Dennis and his team.

We will carry forward the left over balance of $1,131.76 and apply it to our current project, which is raising funds to tile the classrooms at the RC School.
